Anyone fed up with doing the weekly shop? Need feedback on my new website

Postby rosie.fc » Sun Mar 28, 2021 10:50 pm

Would love to hear thoughts on my new company… I'm a Balham Dad (hijacking my wife's NV account :) ) and ever since we had kids I’ve found myself dreading spending ages doing the online supermarket shop each week and all the meal-planning. So we've been developing a new way to shop - hopefully much faster and definitely more fun…. I’ve built a few startups in the past including Monzo bank as COO so I figured I should really be able to solve this problem.

I’m delighted to say we have a prototype website up and running (+ app to follow) with Sainsbury’s (again more supermarkets to come - just let us know who you want to see next). I would love to have a few friendly local parents try some test shopping on it before we launch it more widely. It’s just Alpha, ie first round of testing, so it’s best for folks who like to give their opinions on new tech and can handle not everything working perfectly straight away. If this is you and you’re often lumped with the shopping and the cooking then here’s the link:

Also would love to know if others here find shopping/meal-planning/recipe-searching/remembering everything as painful as me so I know if we’re onto something here... Let me know in the comments what's the worst bit for you.

Some more blurb on lollipopai.com>>>
Lollipop is an online grocery shopping platform that lets you do the Big Shop in Little Time. Initially we have features that make planning meals and doing the weekly shop super easy and quick. One day our artificial intelligence will do your shopping and meal-planning for you (though not the cooking or the childcare sadly…). We've not officially launched to the public yet so you'll be part of an exclusive group where your feedback will be crucial to what we build next. We’ve gone live with Sainsbury’s first with exactly the same products, prices, nectar points etc as you’d have if you shopped on their site directly + no extra fees. Let me know if you want to know more.

Looks interesting. Not sure how it’s going to work but something that could suggest meals based on cutting out waste would be great.
Every woman I speak to (it’s usually women) has found one of the biggest drags over this last year to be meal planning (although I reckon homeschooling has to be up there at the top, so thankful my kid is an adult now!).
Registered and await my testing invite!
