charged £5 for a mask at a BUPA orthodontist

Postby fourlegs » Thu Apr 01, 2021 2:21 pm

dropped my fifteen year old off for a follow up ortho appointment and she was told that she couldn't wear the mask she was wearing but needed to wear one of their new masks and asked for £5. She didn't have any cash so they gave her one  'this once'. She was very embarrassed and of course cross with me that I didn't know.
Given that the braces cost over £2 000 and were paid for in full before the treatment started I feel that this is taking the proverbial?  It is only a fiver but the I feel its unnecessarily grabby, especially if it is going to be every time she goes. Apologies for the mini rant, would love to know if this is the norm?
