Hello wise people. Has anyone used www.trustedhousesitters.com or any other house and pet sitting app or service. I’m struggling to get my cat into a cattery for the a week or two in summer and am thinking of getting a house sitter. I’m a bit nervous about leaving a stranger in my home though. Any tips on how it works and what I should look out for? Thank you.

If your cat doesn’t need someone staying overnight and would be content with drop ins each day then I can recommend Hapicat - local business we’ve used for years. The owner, Rachel, is very knowledgeable about cats and we’ve always come home to a happy cat and no problems with the house. She comes in to do daily visits for feeding and playing and sends email updates.
