As an IT apprentice, you’ll be working closely with our technical team as they support our existing and new customer’s IT requirements.
You’ll have a keen interest in IT and must be able to work as part of a support team & working closely with other departments. You will need to build a good working relationship our customers. Although you will be based at our Kings Cross Office, you may be required to travel to customer sites as and when required. Our colleagues are all experts at what they do, and you’ll be able to gain lot of knowledge & experience from them in different areas
Salary: The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage or higher depending on knowledge of ICT Systems
Our Working Hours: (Monday to Friday 8:30 -17:30). Apprentice working days and time to be confirmed
Length of Contract: 12- 15 months to Permanent.
Apprenticeship responsibilities: As you gain experience from our training, you will be required to work with a number of different clients, such as Schools, Cinema, Media, non-profit organisations, lawyers, small-mid-size businesses. You will also be responsible for providing 1st line IT support via telephone, remotely or on-site.
You will be trained in the following areas of IT. Although it would be good if you have some knowledge of the things listed here.
- Installation, configuration and imaging of computers, laptops & Macs
- Managing and supporting Cloud based systems – Office 365/Google / VoIP
- Assist with the expansion of the client’s network infrastructure including switches, cabling and wireless network equipment.
- Perform backups and restoration of data when required
- IT Hardware upgrades / repairs
- Printers, Print Management Software, Scanners and Interactive touch screen
- To perform any technical and administration related tasks as requested by your Technical
- Incident Management – Act as a first point of contact for all incidents and run basic diagnostic process prior to assigning incidents to the senior engineers.
- Hardware Support – Provide basic hardware support to incidents and complete hardware requests
- Meeting room support – provide Audio/Visual support for Teams/Zoom meetings as requested O365
- End point administration – Troubleshoot and manage device security
- MS Teams support – Troubleshoot incidents regarding the Microsoft Teams solution.
- Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Understanding the OS (Operating System) on Machines
- Apple Mac IOS, understanding Mac (Operating System)
- Basic Networking Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, RM, Firewall, Switching, AV, as well as experience with VoIP telecommunications.

- A history of technical development, through providing IT assistance to friends and family, and/or through pursuing IT related hobbies (Building PC’s/Website Management)
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent plus Level 2 or 3 ICT Systems (Including English Language and Math's). If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
