Double buggy recommendations Post Reply

I am 5 months pregnant and have a 2 year old.
Can anyone recommend a good double pram that you can ideally separate and is narrow and and light to get on and off trains/ tubes.
I am considering the Babyzen YoYo but haven’t seen many people with double option - has any one used it and would they recommend?

I wouldn’t even entertain that as a double. It’s great as a single but if you’re getting on and off public transport you’re stuffed.

I’d you’re looking at a buggy which is narrow I’d would say a tandem is better rather than side by side. Uppababy vista, Icandy peach and orange (models). Joolz geo, mountain buggy plus one, Phil and teds. These are a couple message me if you need more ideas x

When my kids were little I had an Out n About Nipper. It was so light and easy to push. You could easily push it one handed. It was quite a few years ago but they are still being made.

I love my Out n Abput Nipper Double! I’d actually say it has changed my life - it’s so light, I bring it everywhere and we can do so much more together as a family! I had the vista (being able to use it as a double was a huge selling point when I was pregnant with my first) but as a double it was a nightmare to push. It is so so heavy you can barely get up a curb or walk up an incline, let alone on and off public transportation. I sold it for my Out n’ About and couldn’t be happier - just wish I had found the Nipper first time around!

When I had a 2 year old and a newborn I had an Uppababy Vista which gave me lots of flexibility in terms of setup. In the end though, I mostly just used it as a single buggy with a buggy board attached for the older child and that was a lot easier to manoeuvre than a double buggy.
