Luggage repair service in SW London?

Postby SouthLondonDaddy » Fri Jun 02, 2023 12:27 pm

The telescopic handle of a 4-wheel Samsonite suitcase has just split in half.

Do you know of any shop  which does this kind of repairs?

Alba Luggage near Baker st used to do it but they have been priced out of the area. Their website says they do remote repairs but shipping a bulky luggage is complicated and probably expensive.

Ideally I'd like to find some shop local to SW London, but we're open to something more central.

The suitcase is in otherwise excellent conditions and it would be a shame to buy another one just because a cheap piece of plastic broke down!

Searching online I have found this one in Victoria: http://theluggagecentre.co.uk/contact-us
It's not too far, but I was wondering if there is anything closer

Hi / it’s actually quite simple to replace yourself - I ordered a part online from Aldridges and followed an online guide (bizarrely samsonite Australia I think but there’s a few out there) and it worked just fine.

Thank you! Unfortunately they don't have the part for my specific suitcase, but thank you for bringing them up - it's a useful contact to have.
