good local beer gardens with children?

Postby pimms » Fri Jun 23, 2023 2:38 pm

Would love to know if anyone could recommend a pub with a good beer garden where we can take our toddlers and we won't seem out of place? We have friends coming to stay next weekend and it would be good to be able to go and enjoy a pub lunch in the sunshine. Maybe somewhere close to the river? Any ideas greatly appreciated.

The Leather Bottle in Earlsfield has a
Massive garden and is toddler-friendly. There’s a park just behind it too with a playground so you can pop out and run off any excess energy if needed!

The windmill on clapham common is pretty family friendly, especially on week days!

The Latchmere in Battersea is very family friendly and used to have a kids play area in the beer garden out the back (not sure if it's still there). Very close to Battersea Park too..
Agree with the other poster that The Windmill is wonderful too!

The Rosendale pub, on Rosendale Road towards Dulwich has a  childrens play area in the garden,  so if you get a table outside it's perfect, spent many a happy afternoon there and the food was great too.  Good luck, traffic permitting it's about 15 minutes in an uber from Balham :-)
