Postby Up Town Girl » Fri Dec 01, 2023 12:35 pm

Hi can anyone recommend where I should go to get a good Christmas Tree locally, I'm afraid that ours was quite bare before Santa came down the chimney last year  :( much appreciated.

It used to be £10 a foot but prices seem to have risen

Has anyone tried these people?

I always go to the place next to Tooting Leisure Centre. Top quality trees at reasonable prices. This year I paid £40 for a 6 ft tree.

There is a place off Chestnut Grove just by the barbers and handy for the cashpoint, that has great looking good value trees. We paid £35 for a 5ft one in beautiful condition.

Trees were being sold from Nightingale Academy  this weekend - open gateway at the top of Burntwood Lane just before the mini-roundabout with Beechcroft Rd.  I was approached with a leaflet on Bellevue Rd on Saturday by a young man who may be a pupil at the school - very enterprising and I would have loved to support.  I was sorry I'd already got my tree (from my mum's village outside London!) otherwise I would have gone for one of theirs as they looked beautiful when I went past the gateway, all set in wood blocks and lovely shapes.  There's a poster on the fence saying which dates they are open - may be next weekend or possibly this week.  Worth a look but I don't know what their pricing is like.
