Front garden renovation

Postby JimAndSue » Thu May 09, 2024 2:49 pm

Hello All,

First time poster but have frequented the forum for a while since we moved to the area two years ago.

We are preparing to renovate the front terraced garden and would love recommendations on someone to lay a Victorian tile pathway and a couple of walls, railings, paving slabs etc.  Something fairly simple but done well; not at an exorbitant cost.

We have checked previous posts which has unearthed one or two leads, and I am looking to see if any more up to date recommendations too.

Thanks!

Don't know if you're planning to pave over the whole of the front 'garden' - if so, that's the worst thing you can do.  A front garden is just that:  a garden.  i.e. for plants, shrubs & small trees.  Not for pavers.

Hi there,

We redid our front garden last year. For the size / surface it is quite expensive, so you might be surprised by the quotes you get.

We got 3 quotes and ended up working with The London Front Garden Company and would highly recommend them. They weren’t the cheapest, but Chris the founder was extremely knowledgeable and gave us excellent advice on what to do / not do which we found invaluable (given the price you don’t want to get it wrong!!!). They were also very flexible to adjust to quite bespoke requests giving us our dream front garden.

Hope that helps
