Hello

We have just relocated back to Clapham after 9 years in Singapore. My kids grew up there and now we are back Im trying to get them settled into clubs etc.

My daughter like running and athletics. I know we have Tooting not too far but who are the clubs I need to look at for her? All suggestions very welcome.

Herne Hill Harriers at Tooting Bec track are amazing. My daughter has been going for a few years and it’s brilliant! They really care about your child’s progress on the track and it’s very well run and organised

I am looking for a club too for my 9 year old, it looks as though the minimum age  Herne Hill Harriers is 11 years?
Does anyone else have any other recommendations?

If your child is a good runner, or showing they have the stamina to keep up, HHH take them younger

Partly related: I had a recollection that Herne Hill Harriers used to run a Summer camp at the Tooting Running Track, but I haven't been able to find anything on their website.
Any idea if it is running (and if so, any details would be welcome!), or if I just dreamed about it? Thank you!

The camp at Tooting track is running all summer - email Steve on the email address above. It’s a great camp - my kids really like it.

At the Herne Hill Harriers summer camp are there any opportunities to try throwing disciplines at all, might you know?

Yes, they get to do throwing and other field events at startrack.
