Low Autumn Sunlight
After the autumn equinox, the sun sits lower in the sky, reaching our eyes more directly, increasing the amount of UV radiation that enters our eyes. Even though the sun may not feel as intense or warm, we should wear sunglasses that block 100% of UVA and UVB rays when outdoors. Alternatively, photochromic lenses (optical lenses that darken on exposure to UV) or clear lenses with 100% UV protection are available. Not only do these offer UV protection, they also help shield our eyes from wind and debris.
