Meeting Room needed - anyone know of one?

Postby Elderlydad » Fri Nov 04, 2011 2:35 pm

OK, I know this site is pink, & is for mums, but I'm hoping I'll be allowed to post anyway. (I may be wrong, who knows in these days of inequality?)

Anyway, today's post is a humble request - I belong to another neigbhourhood forum (Putney where I work), but Nappyvalley is VASTLY superior to that & most others, and of course is where I live (& have done intermittently since 1668!)

If there is another local forum & I've missed it, can someone tell me? And I'll go away. But I digress - what I'm looking for is a room - in an office, house, or anywhere that isn't a pub or noisy restaurant - for a short neighbours meeting, maybe 3 hours, with a table that would seat 8-10. You think I can find one online? No.

Sadly not one of us has a room big enough to accomodate 10 round a table (or indeed a table that seats 10).

If anyone can help, or point me the right way, I should be most obliged and very grateful!

Hi there - I'm not sure whether this is what you have in mind but there are a couple of options. Regus rent meeting space as does http://www.third-door.com/ - good luck!

Yes, I thought of them but I'm trying to keep it really local if poss, off Northcote Road, ideally Battersea Rise end.

Thanks anyway, if my search proves fruitless it's a good fallback

Both The Northcote and The Bowler have rooms - The Northcote's is upstairs and v private - I'm sure it could be used for a meeting - the Bowler is less private but I think again good for a neighbours meet.

Not sure if the location really suits but can I suggest you try one of the newly refurbished rooms at York Gardens Library, just on the north side of Clapham Junction. There's free parking too. You can call 020  8871 7471 for rates.
