BIRTHDAY PARTY DILEMMA!

hi,

My sons 3rd birthday is on the 6th of January. and i am looking for something innovative to do as its too cold for outside! we have done the its a kids thing/gymborees parties but i am looking for something different. it can be anything really, were open! any ideas would be greately appreciated.

Bizarre as it sounds, how about a good old-fashioned party at home? They really aren't as hard work as you think and 3 year olds are quite easy. Pass the parcel, musical bumps, pin the tail on the donkey and lots of balloons. The children love it, you don't have to cart anything about and the parents will think you're amazing! Oh and it hardly costs a thing.

If you do the at home thing... you can also make it fancy dress or a PJ party (they love it usually) and just get one or two everyone wins games. I've always done at home parties and just kept everything really low key. The previous poster is right... although now I find it exhausting and my kids are taking a year off the party circuit! x
