I feel for you that must be so difficult. Lots of exercise to make the pup tired out for when you introduce the children to his spaces - it is much easier to train a dog when they a tired! Also if possible walk as much together as a family so he sees you all as his pack and respects you all equally. You could give the children treats and teach then to give the command "sit" "down" before they treat him when they enter! Chewing is more difficult as he is teething - maybe a ragga toy that the children can play with him. Our pup loved rawhide sticks and still does even though he is a 40kg mastiff!!!! As for wee - the best way is newspaper and move is slowly outside again treat as soon as he does it outdoors. Make sure you have treat bags everywhere!!! But make sure you choose wisely as some treats to a dog are like giving children a kilo bag of smarties and cola !!!! Not great in your situation.
Good luck.

Oh no - we have both been big Softies with our pup and he has free run and normally ends up in our bed!!!! They are pack animals and used to being around others and hate being alone:( Bad dog owners;)). Have u heard of ceaser Milan on nat geo wild - dog whisper!! He's a silver fox so enjoyable viewing.
We have the most amazing dog daycare as we both work fulltime and he gets to have fun with his friends!!! Best life ever. If you ever need anyone - even a wend off they are brilliant.
If you want anything else give me a shout. I also have a very crazy terrier at work (I'm a nanny)! If you want a play mate in afternoons to walk the common with.
Stay strong and it will be well worth while.

Please, please watch the dog whisperer Cesar Melone on t.v. we have two rotti pups and his advice and technic have been fantastic, when you think about what he says about how a dog thinks and reacts to the way, we react to them really makes sense. Dee

Hi there, this might help if you need advice. I had a lovely lady (Corinne) help me when we got our VIzsla puppy who was definitely a handful! She was great and is very knowledgeable. I think she would help your children get used to your new pup and give you some ideas on how to deal with any 'drama' I hope that helps. Her website is: http://www.barkingmad.me/dog_training_p ... _about.php and let her know I passed on her details if you decide to contact her :o)

Good Luck...puppy will be totally worth it
