what should a nanny buy her employer for xmas?

Hi theres,

I have been working as a nanny for 18months. Last year i got my employers a mug and a photo frame with the little boys hand and food prints on them which they loved.

Does anyone have any ideas of what i could get them this year? I often give them photo's, the childs drawings etc for birthdays, mothers days etc so want to get them something different

Any ideas would be great!

I would go for more photos.

As you'll know parents can't get enough photos of their own kids and they'll be older and look different from last year.

If you don't get on with the mum buy her a DVD of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

and if you don't get on with the Dad buy him The Nanny Diaries

I think it's very kind of you to get them anything! Usually the gift giving is the other way round. But I agree something from/ of the kids is a good idea. not sure how old the kids are but you could get them to do a painting on canvas (you can buy them in the pound shop!) or a print on prspex would look nice (check out costco) what a lovely nanny you are - good luck! xx

I've had the same issues and now I give my employers a babysiting voucher where I will have the children 12 or 24 hrs (depending on how generous you are) for free. They really appreciate it, and it hasn't really cost me anything!

thank you everyone. I have decided to get them a calender with the little boys photos on and i am going to get him to decorate each page with hand prints, glitter etc. Hope they like it!
