Cheeky champs - with cake!

Postby mollymcdolly » Tue Jan 17, 2012 5:01 pm

Hi everyone

Just wanted to let you know of a new class I've tried recently....Cheeky Champs Friday Fun Club. It's a music and singing class, which the babies love, but the most fun part is that afterward there is coffee and homemade cake for the mums (for a small donation) and no rush to leave! Lucy, who takes the class, is an absolute bundle of energy and I defy you not to giggle at her made up rhymes.

There are classes in BAC, early on Thursdays which I've also tried. The fun club is at Happy Faces on Friday afternoons- a nice start to the weekend and a really nice environment for meeting other mums. I've also heard they may be starting another day in the new WoW cafe on Lavender Hill.

Ohhh yes... I have tried the Cheeky Champs Friday Fun club and it is absolutely brilliant! My little daughter was in awe of Lucy and all the babies/ toddlers seem to warm to her quickly and get involved without any shyness. I don't know where she gets her energy! It is very reasonably priced for a half hour class plus time afterwards to mingle with the other mums, eat cake and drink coffee then take your time sorting out buggies and gathering your things! I have found that other classes are quick to throw you out as soon as the class ends and before you know it you are back outside wondering how to fill the rest of the afternoon. I love Happy Faces as a venue, it is very welcoming and the downstairs room is intimate yet has plenty of space for the children to run around and play. Lucy's toys are clean and new and kept that way, my bugbear with other classes has been my daughter stuffing filthy toys in her mouth and rubbing them on her face!! Maybe that's just me!

I very much recommend Cheeky Champs!

I've been going to the Friday class for a couple of weeks with our daughter and it's a really good class. Lots of cool kids and Mamas about town. lucy is fab, energetic and generates a great atmosphere. The kids love it. I would definitely recommend it. :)
