Messy Church 10 March!

Postby stmarkschurch » Tue Feb 21, 2012 9:56 am

Come along for a fun time with your family & enjoy: being together, making things, eating together, celebrating God together!

When? Saturday 10 March, 10.30am-12.30pm

Where? The new church hall at St Mark's Church, Battersea Rise, SW11 1EJ

Who? All families with children welcome.

What? Crafts for different ages and stages, along a Noah's Ark theme. Toy corner for tiny tots! Short celebration with story, songs and prayers. M&S sarnies for the grown-ups and simple ones for littlies.

Visited messy church three times now with my 7 and 3 year old and it has been a consistently wonderful experience, the messy art stuff was truly messy, fun, creative and innovative.
The childrens team at St Marks do a fabulous job, relaying the Christian message in a simple and thoughtful way with a short singalong and engaging story, followed by an excellent sandwich lunch for all! Give it a go.

We've loved coming to Messy Church - lovely bright open space with a good number of tables laid up with different craft activities for you to try your hand at/rotate around - even something for the grown-ups to release the inner crafter with! Great atmosphere and a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning. Age appropriate visual talk and delicious lunch too.

We've been to messy church a couple of times now. The volunteer are amazing and the crafts very inventive!! Simple Christian teaching follow by a great lunch. If you fancied trying out church but Sunday services dont work for you and your family then try messy church.
