Hi all,
I unfortunately have to let go our lovely cleaner of 2 1/2 years, as my nanny needs more hours and she will now become our nanny/housekeeper.
I want to recommend her as she has been wonderful cleaner for us, and is a lovely woman to boot. She speaks only Portuguese (although sign language tends to get me pretty far!), but her daughter speaks fluent english and is always available for translation by mobile/email if you need to communicate something more complicated. Her daughter came the first time to help explain everything I wanted to her mother.
She has a great work ethic, and I trust her implicitly. She takes pride in her work. She is also a fantastic cook, and when I had an accident and couldn't lift anything a couple years ago, she cooked me food and put it in my fridge just out of the kindness of her heart.
She is absolutely gorgeous with my two kids, and if she could speak better English, I would have happily considered her for my nanny as well!
