hello

does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable laundry service? Ideally someone who would take away bags of dirty laundry and return it ironed or folded.

I have used Heritage:

who have always been fine-I bag up the laundry in bin liners and they take it away, wash and fold (although not perfectly and socks etc are not paired up...) fr £10 a bag which is pretty good! Obviously wool/dry cleaning is more.

How long does it take them to return the clean laundry?

I also used Heritage for about 6 months but in the end I got fed up as fine they would wash my clothes but they were so badly folded that the clothes would come back extremely creased and so it took me longer to iron it than it would of done in the first place if I'd of just washed it myself.

I did complain but they didn't seem bothered. Shamed really.

If you are happy to wash your laundry yourself i would highly recommend Nikki's Ironing service - she has had a few recommendations from this site and i have been very happy with her service for nearly a year. Originally i used to delivery as she is based Tooting/streatham - and only collected up to Balham - but now she collects from between the commons too.
