Cottage recommendations for toddler/baby at New Year?

Postby alisonismail » Sun Jun 10, 2012 10:05 pm

Hello, does anyone have any good advice about a toddler/baby-friendly apartment/cottage we could rent at new year?
All being well, this new year we will have a ten week old as well as a 2.5 year old and we are keen to rent a cottage for the week somewhere not too far from London.
Got in mind something like a two bedroom place on a farm where there might be duckpond and animals to see or even a climbing frame or somesuch...but feeling a bit overwhelmed by websites so thought I'd see if anybody had any personal recommendations?
Got in mind the Cotswolds (eg. somewhere with National Trust and other indoor things to do if weather is awful) but anywhere up to a few hours' drive from SW11 might do the trick.
Thanks so much for your help, much appreciated!

I can recommend Lower Mill Estate in the Cotswolds Water Park, less than 2 hours from SW London. We have a holiday house there and kids of all ages love it. Sadly our place is not available for New Year but there are lots of houses available to rent, all different styles and sizes. Many of the properties are lakeside with plenty of ducks, swans and geese for the little ones to watch. If you stay in 'Mill Village' there is a playground and outdoor swimming pool on site or if you rent a house in 'Clearwater Village' there is a lovely Spa with indoor and outdoor pool and a gym and treatment rooms. Many of the houses are equipped with baby and toddler equipment by the owners too.
PM me if you need any more info, or if you search for holiday properties at Lower Mill Estate on rental websites or google and you should find a good choice.
