Looking for Postnatal Pilates

Postby kewty » Mon Jun 11, 2012 9:42 pm

Hi

I have recently had my second child, and having had very bad hips during the pregnancy (on crutches), I have just been signed off by the physio and told I can do pilates and gentle exercise etc.

However, I can't seem to find a postnatal pilates class in the area that takes place in the mornings (whilst eldest is at nursery), or at weekends.

If anyone knows of any classes, I would be very interested to know.

Many thanks
Kx

PS. I have never done pilates before!

Jane Wake's classes are Mon (9:30am) and Weds (11am) and Fri (11am) mornings and Jane takes them - The first two are in Balham and the Friday one is on Thurleigh Rd.

I think the Weds class is full this term (which has started through to August) though,

Hope that helps - I had never done Pilates before and I really enjoy it now and it has been so helpful to my strength and shape.

I would highly recommend Rosa at pilatespluswellness (www.pilatespluswellness.co.uk). I have been going to her for almost 2 years as had an almost no core- post pregnancy i have been to beginners classes and now intermediate they are brilliant, she also does home visits, pregnancy classes, and mother & baby classes. She is very reasonable and i think she has an offer on if you book now for september classes. She does morning classes at Balham Library see her website for full class details.

I can recommend Jane Wake too, she is fab, as are all of the ladies that work with her. I have been doing her classes for a few years now and love them. She is currently on Daybreak in the mornings doing their summer bikini diet :D
