Ravensbury Road, Earlsfield

Postby adubs » Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:27 pm

Hi,

We are planning to make an offer on a property on Ravensbury Road, Earlsfield.

We are new to the area and wondered if anyone could share views on:
-The street - is it a nice place to live?
-Primary school access - it looks like it is borderline for both Wimbledon Park Primary and Earlsfield School
-The neighbourhood in general - pros and cons
-The industrial sites in the area - are they a nuisance and do they have a negative impact on property prices?

Any thoughts very welcome!

Hi, we've lived in Earlsfield for the past 6 years and we love it. It's v.safe and there are loads of families around. And it has everything you could need in terms of shops / transport / things for kids to do (Library / It's a Kid's Thing etc.). Earlsfield primary is also excellent. I really think you won't regret it at all. :D

Hi!
We live on Mount Road which is the next one along and it is great. So close to Earlsfield, Wimbledon Park and Southfields. Loads of parks to choose from, Wimbledon Park School is around the corner (and getting better year by year) and lots of different shops to choose from.

In terms of the industrial sites, we don't notice them at all but we do live further away. They seem to be mainly offices but whenever we drive past there are rarely any lorries. Re house prices I doubt they'd have a negative impact - 2 houses on my street are being marketed at around £745k which is similar to the grid and at least £100k more than last year!

I'd say go for it!

I used to live in Earlsfied and it's a wonderful place to live. I lived there for 9 years and loved it. My two girls were born there & there are lots of playgroups & schools in the area. You won't regret it.
