Ideas for front of house

Postby sixfootredhead » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:36 pm

We live in a regular red brick Victorian terraced house in SW12.

We are looking to 'tidy up' the front of the house (steps, pathway/'garden' area) but have a limited budget. Ideally we would have loved to have had it tiled with the black and white victorian tiling but after having received several quotes, it's not going to be possible.

At the moment the pathway is poured concrete and the 'garden' area in front of the bay window is pebbles. We also have a rather unruly hedge to top it all off. It all just looks shabby to me.

Does anyone know of a company/person who can come and quote for a variety of options? As I say, we have a limited budget but would love to make it look a bit nicer.

I think I have posted this in a reply before so apologies for going over old ground. Try Rosie Nottage, she designed and did the work on our front garden and totally transformed it. It sounds as though your is very similar to how ours was and now ours looks V smart. We also live in SW12 and Rosie will be able to provide you with pictures.
