FRANCE stopping places between Calais and Saumur

Hi

We are driving for the first time from home down to the Loire valley - Saumur- for a holiday at the end of the week. We need to split the journey in two from Calais to Saumur. We have a 7 month old and we are also in convoy with friends who have a 1 yr old. Could anyone suggest a good stopping place?
