Today's constant drizzle has given me the push I needed to sort our half-term break! We are thinking Europe as a destination as we have 2 young boys and I don't want to be worrying about a long haul flight, jet lag etc...

Does anyone have any suggestions for kiddy friendly places/hotels etc... we are pretty flexible on country, just as long as the weather is better than here!! Greece, Portugal, Cyprus - any thoughts and ideas would be very appreciated.

We are off to Malta to visit family - the weather's always gorgeous as this time of year. Can't really help on kiddy friendly hotels as we always stay with family - but it's a lovely location for a quick break.

We are a Teddington family who moved to St Ives in Cornwall 18 months ago. We have spent that time restoring and re-inventing the first and oldest hotel in St Ives. It is called The Tide House and we are in the process of opening. It is only a few steps from the award winning beaches and restaurants so it is ideal for little ones. We have designed the hotel to be really family friendly, with a children’s den and rooms big enough for families……a home from home by the sea.
