We're moving house and wondered if any one can recommend any shutter or carpet companies?

We used Plantation Shutters and found them to be very good - however that was years ago when shutters weren't that popular and there wasn't much competition.

We have recently used Bowloom carpets on Queenstown Road and thought they were fantastic

We have used The Traditional Shutter Company.

Comparing them with other companies there shutters were excellent quality, price was very competitive and delivery was about 3-4 weeks.

Highly recommended.

I'd like to second the recommendation for Plantation Shutters - we bought our shutters from them last year and thought they were excellent.

He was the cheapest I found for white shutters and I got about five different quotes. But it didn't mean compromising on design/workmanship. Lovely bloke too. Lives out of London but has most of his work here so you don't have to wait for quotes etc

We used Thomas Sanderson and were v pleased - great price & quality.

Thomas Sanderson was one of the other outfits we got a quote from and we were very unimpressed with the high pressure sales tactics that they used. Discounts that were only available if we paid a deposit that day, pretending to phone head office to get additional discounts approved etc. Searching on Google afterwards confirmed that we were not the only people that had experienced these types of unpleasant pressure sales tactics. On the positive side, their shutters did look very nice...

Hi,

We just completed a loft conversion on our home and re-carpeted the whole house while we were about it. I got excellent service and an incredible price on the exact carpet we wanted, including installation from a company called M&M Carpets 020 7740 1402 or http://www.m-mcarpets.com.

They arrived when they said they would and when it came to delivery they had pre cut the carpet and were incredibly efficient. I would highly recommend them.
