1st bday party with toddlers - help!

Can anyone share their wisdom, knowledge and ideas on how to manage a first birthday party where older siblings will be present? (The eldest being 2.5 yrs old) There will only be a total of approx 9 children so it will be at home but somehow I'd like to manage the chaos so the everyone can enjoy themselves... is that possible or am I just kidding myself :D
