Personally I don't see how finding a nanny from a forum is any different from a agency....if the parents are happy to do the simple checks e.g references etc.....they save up to £3,000 in agency's fee's.....I would say that's clever! Plus most nannies are also registered with agencies as well as advertising in forums, and more and more very experienced nannies are not using agency's - finding lovely families to work for themselves. Just my opinion.
