Hi there,

I am a speech and language therapist local to the area. I am not able to take on cases I'm afraid, as I am already juggling my communication groups and looking after my little boy at the moment, but if there might be anything I can suggest over the phone, am happy to have a chat.

Have you searched the register of independent therapists ASLTIP? Their website is www.helpwithtalking.com and you can try to select someone in your area who specialises in the areas of need for your child.

If you are just looking for an ABA tutor, the universities UCL and City run the degree courses for speech and language therapy and you may be able to recruit a student through their relevant departments.

Feel free to email me if I can offer any more advice (bubbaboogroups@gmail.com)

Best wishes,

Vicky

Please please go and see Ruth Jacobs at the Chelsea Children's Therapies on Duke of York Square on the Kings Road - she's the same price as people around here and she has literally changed our lives! Our son started there when he was 2 and honestly didn't say a word - he's now 3 and says ALOT more! She's also wonderful in helping with schools etc. I saw someone at Kiki's and it was terrible (maybe we just had bad luck).

Anyway please PM me if you want more information but trust me she's brilliant.

Thank you everybody for your reply, I will for sure contact the lady in Duke of York. My three year old speaks quite well, so I am not worried about that. The main issue is that he still dribbles and I do not think its normal any more.

I took him to several specialist and they all agreed that he was perfectly fine and that he will get over it on his own, they even mentioned some children dribble till they are 6, but I know this is not normal, so I am looking for a speech therapist that can guide me on this.

Thanks!

I've booked an appointment with Ruth Jacobs herself to do the initial assessment, have heard of her before from other mums but thought it was a bit pricey £250 for initial assessment. Feel it's probably best to go to the best, she has an amazing reputation.
Thank you for your advice all!

I think yo'ull be really pleased with Ruth. She is just brilliant with the kids and is very honest and so so so experienced. I honestly couldn't recommend her enough. We've seen one of her therapists for a year now (my son is autistic so has severe speech & language delay) and i promise she's wonderful! Good luck

Hi everyone,
I have a speech therapy practice in Wandsworth too. My colleague Lisa is particularly specialist in working alongside ABA programmes and with younger children. We have a clinic in Putney and she is also at Clapham South each week. Home visits are available too.
You can contact us at http://www.childrenstherapies.co.uk 02086737930.
Best of luck with your search.
