Massage therapy during labour

Postby dancing_queen59 » Sun Jan 06, 2013 8:35 am

Hi,

Has anyone ever employed a massage therapist during labour? I've been seen a therapist and chiropractor every week during my pregnancy and it has massively helped keep my back supple.

The therapist I use is wonderful but is away the time around me giving birth. I met another woman yesterday who was very good but not sure how she would be during labour (she talks a lot!).

Does anyone have any reccomendations or experiences?

Yes i have i saw amanda once or twice a week from 4 weeks before i gave birth she is trained in pregnancy hydrotherm massage and was recommended to me by my dula.
I asked her after some session if she would mind once my labour starts if she would mind me calling her for a home session - my water broke around 5am and i had the massage around lunch time i found it really relaxed me and i highly recommend it.

She is situated in balham sadly she put her prices up since i saw her but pls give her a call she does do deals or offers amanda riley her name is
