Full-time live-out nanny needed

Postby clapham_common_mum » Wed Apr 03, 2013 11:46 am

Hi,

We are looking for a caring and responsible live-out sole charge nanny to look after our two lovely children from September 2013 (possibly earlier for the right person). Our daughter will be 3-year old by then and attending nursery school 5 mornings a week, and our son will be 15 months old. Both my husband and I work full time so the hours will be 7.45am to 6.15pm Monday to Friday.

We are looking for an experienced nanny (at least 3 years experience as a sole charge nanny, with ideally additional experience as a nursery nurse) who is passionate and committed about her career in childcare, and wanting to make a long term commitment to our family. Our ideal nanny will be patient, confident, kind, fun, energetic, organised and creative, with a real interest in developing a strong relationship with each of our children, and supporting us in sharing with them our core values of honesty and respect. Our children are full of life and adore each other; they love music, cooking, messy play, arts & crafts, dancing and outdoors activities. We live close to Clapham Common and the school/all activities will be local. Our children will have been attending a daycare nursery full time up until then (which they adore), so we are keen for them to continue having social interactions with other children through activities and playgroups.

We have a cleaner who comes weekly, so household tasks will be limited to weekly laundry of children’s clothes and linen, cleaning up after cooking and meals, and ensuring the children’s bedrooms and play areas are kept tidy and clean. Very importantly to us, our ideal nanny will cook healthy, varied and nutritious meals, be passionate about food, and share that passion with our children.

The person we are looking for will be perfectly fluent in English (oral and written); French would be an advantage but is not essential. Our family has a multi-cultural background and we welcome candidates from all cultures.
To be successful in obtaining this role, you must:
- Have a recent CRB check,
- Hold an up-to-date paediatric first aid certificate,
- Be OFSTED registered (or willing to be registered),
- Have several checkable references, and
- Be a non-smoker.
Ideally, you would also have a formal qualification in childcare and hold a recent food safety and hygiene certificate.

If you would like to apply, please email me (mvja2010@gmail.com) with a CV and stating why you feel this would be the right position for you.
Thanks very much.
