I'm taking my 18month year old to The Lollipop Club this morning in Richmond - I've heard fab things about it, but wondered if anyone has recently been and can share their experience / thoughts? I hear they have load of little tikes toys.

Just wanted to tell everyone about The Lollipop Club (www.lollipopclub.co.uk) in Richmond - I popped along last week for the first time and my 18month year old LOVED it! She spent 2 hours on the bouncy castle - totally exhausting herself and having so much fun.
I paid £4 for unlimited use (open from 10am till 3pm) and then had a coffee and even managed to get some work done It was pretty busy, but plenty of space and toys to go around. Will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone who's stuck for something to do!

Haven't been for ages but when my youngest children were small I went there a lot - perfect refuge for exhausted mums and especially working ones (I was able to let the children happily potter around while I got on with work over a nice coffee). I would add that when we used to go there, they were also very good at doing children's parties. Not cheap, but they would do the whole thing including having a balloon modeller and providing a themed cake (if you wanted). Really these were the easiest young children's parties ever. All we had to do was turn up and sit there while they did everything including feeding the tinies a nice wholesome party tea.

My only regret is that there isn't an equivalent for teenagers!

My little one is still just a little bit too wee for 'soft play' but i've been a few times with my sister and her toddler.... it's perfect for letting them run wild, and enabling us to have a coffee and an uninterrupted conversation for once
