Cabs with Isofix base or carseats? Post Reply

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a reliable cab company with infant carseats or Isofix bases I can clip my own carseat into, in Wandsworth? I recently had an emergency c-section so can't drive myself and hubbie is in all day meetings! I can only find airport cab companies and no local services. We just need to get to St George's and back. Any help would be much appreciated.

We use 5000 cars in Balham often, not with our car seats but I know they have previously had car seats available you could maybe try them their number is 02086755000

I have used Clapham cabs a few times to go to/from the airport / train station. They have a few different seats. Just be really clear with them which seat you want, and if you book in advance then re-confirm the seat in the day.

Hi! We have used the Keen Group and they have provided car seats for me in the past. If you specify what kind of seat or base you want, I think they will accommodate. Always worth a call. 020 7350 0202

Thank you all for your very prompt replies. I ended up using 1A cars and they didn't have a base or seat (which I specifically asked for) but the cabbie was very helpful at making sure our car seat was buçkled in tightly and drove carefully. They were also very quick to pick us up for the return journey. Would highly recommend!

For future short journeys I'd recommend downloading the Hailo app for your phone. That way you can book a black cab, get the drivers name, photo and reg number and you can just wheel your buggy straight in, put on the break and you're done.
