Come and make bug hotels on Clapham Common this Saturday

This weekend Friends of Clapham Common are holding a Making Bug Hotels event (Saturday 1 June 10.30 - 12.30, the Bandstand) so please come along if you can, especially if you have young children.

We have been given some wonderful materials by Buglife and will have magnifiers on hand for close inspection of creepy crawlies. We will be situated close to an active bee-hive near La Baita, so there will be plenty of insect life of interest.

Sounds a lovely idea, but where do you get "lengths of bamboo, rushes or large grasses" required? :D
