Electrician required ASAP

Postby Flump2013 » Wed May 29, 2013 3:14 pm

I have just had a new oven delivered and it needs to be hard wired to the wall. The old oven was simply plugged in, so the socket needs replacing. It should be a very quick/ small job. Can anyone recommend a reliable, local electrician who charges sensibly? I work from home, so am really flexible about timings, but am keen to get it done tomorrow (Thursday) as we have friends coming for supper!

Thanks
Jules

Hi Jules,

I used Phillip from Balham Electrical Services after a recommendation on here and was very pleased - Philip is a lovely guy, tidy, very reasonable and toddler friendly!

Hope this helps!

Hi, we have used Balham Electrical Services as well several times for various different jobs and have always been very happy with their work . Here is the numbers taken from the sticker they put on my fuse box ! 07595700715 / 02074505738 , www.besltd247.co.uk. Hope that is helpful , if you don't get it done in time for your friends coming for supper you may be able to pass off some Deliverance as a bit of home cooked food ! ! ! Good Luck ! :D ;) :D

Brilliant, thanks so much for the recommendations. I have emailed them and am waiting to hear back. At least I have plenty of take away menus as plan B!

Absolutely amazing! Out of the blue are lights started flickering, especially at bed time for the little ones, we thought it might be something paranormal,
On the safe side, we called Phil, solved the problem with due deligence, great work.

On the basis of recommendations from this thread I called Phil at Balham Electrical Services today. He came within an hour, fixed the problem, charged a reasonable rate, and was polite and friendly, not to mention hoovering up the small amount of dust created. Definitely recommend.

Another vote of confidence for Phil who I recommendation for whom I found on this site. Had a problem with lights going out in the loft extension. Quickly sorted and very reasonable rate.
