Hi all,

My daughter is to start at Alderbrook in September and I don't really know much about the school. I wondered if any parents could give me their thoughts - I understand there has been a fair bit of change in the last 18 months?

Also will there be any opportunity for the kids to meet other classmates before school starts? We don't know anyone else going & I'd love for her to be able to recognise some faces.

I grew up in Canada so the system is very different to what I'm used to!

Alderbrook is a great school. There have been changes over the last few years, all for the better. My daughter is there and is happy and thriving, the school has a lovely atmosphere and the teaching is very good.
All kids due to start in Sept will be invited to spend an informal morning at the school with their mums amd dads (sometime in July as far as I remember) when they will be able to meet the other children who will be in reception and it's also a good opportunity for the parents to meet each other too.
I'm sure your daughter will be happy in Alderbrook, all the best!
