Move to Tunbridge Wells - know anyone who has done it? Post Reply

We are looking to move from near Northcote to the 'village' area of Tunbridge Wells for a new life. I would love to be abe to chat to some-one who has done the same in last few years...does anyone know anyone who could help? It feels ike hiuge leap of faith....but one which might be worth the upheaval...Thanks

Hi,
I made the same move a month ago! We live just near the Pantiles, so very near the village area and just a short walk from the station.
I felt the same as you - very nervous to leave London - we were in Clapham and loved it! But we didn't want to go through the nightmare of finding a school in London, so made the move!
TW is really beautiful, and there is loads to do for kids. Just behind our house is a lovely common, and there are loads of parks. There are some lovely shops on the highstreet (Whistles, white company, Kath Kidston etc etc) and loads of lovely cafes. Every sunday we have breakfast at a great little place called Juliets.
I would do it - it's a bit like a little London, and only 45 on the train if you need a london fix! We haven't looked back. PM me if you want to chat more!

We are in the process of moving from the Tonsleys to Silchester in Hampshire, does anyone know of anyone else who has done the same.
