Sleep expert needed for toddler - any recommendations?

Postby Americano » Thu Sep 05, 2013 12:29 pm

Hello,

My toddler - who was a good sleeper - has become very bad at sleeping at night over the last 4 months. I have tried various methods at home without luck so now need an expert! Can anyone recommend a sleep trainer they have used?

Many thanks!

Hi there, years ago we used Brenda (website above) and she sorted out the problem on the first night! Since then many of my friends have hired her to help and she has never failed. Good luck! :D

We've just finished a week of sleep training with our toddler having used Kathryn Mewes and (fingers crossed) I think we've cracked it! We just used her consultation service rather than overnight stay (best (£200 ever spent)!
It depends on the approach you are most comfortable with but I found Brenda the nanny to just recite Gina Ford and we didn't warm to one another when we tried her over a year ago.
Good luck!

We saw Andrea Grace at Harley St when our first was 8 months; she advocated a gentle method based upon our specific issue and it worked like magic.

I am another supporter of Kathryn Mewes. Our daughter struggled with sleeping since birth, I read every book and used two other sleep consultants until we retained Kathryn. I know this sounds too good to be true but she really did equip my husband and I with the skills and confidence to crack the sleep issues once and for all. We were impressed with her professionalism - she even met us in the City for the consultation.

We consider this money well spent, she basically helped us get our lives back.

PM me if you'd like more info and I'd happily have a chat about her methods.

Good luck x

Hi, we used a lady called Lin Elderkin, the sleep lady.
She does consultation by phone and is amazing! She works with you for 3 wks and her methods are magic. We used her and cracked the issues very fast and the results have lasted through teething and travelling over time zones etc. Google her and you will find her Webb page. Best money I ever spent!

We used Carol Mae, she also worked with two other mums from our NCT class and did a great job. It's now nearly 8 mths since she helped us and she still gets in touch regularly to see how weare getting on. Our daughter sleeps so well, it's like magic.
