We are moving to Clapham (BTC) from Canada with a girl aged 5 and a boy aged 6 (almost 7). We are looking for a fun, caring, and reliable nanny to look after our kids after school on term days and full time for some of the term breaks. We would also consider a nanny share.
We would love to find someone who is a French speaker... but will also consider a fluent English speaker.
For the right candidate, we can be quite flexible regarding weekly hours:
Weekdays during the term - between 2 to 4 hours per day after school. 3-5pm only or 1:30-5:30pm, if you have availability to do light cleaning and children's laundry. With babysitting one night a week, if you're available.
For half of the school holidays, we would like you to work from approximately 8:00-5:00. (these hours are flexible too) We would give advance notice of any full-time work.
Responsibilities include picking up the kids from school, playing with them at home, keeping them occupied with games and art projects, taking them to the playground, dropping them off and/or supervising play dates and other activities, helping with homework... and occasionally preparing supper, bathing them and getting them ready for bed. Although you would not be expected to do any heavy-duty housework, you would be expected to help keep the house as clean and tidy as possible.
Mother works from home until 5pm (and will also be out on appointments). Also travels for work once a month and must have someone very reliable to watch the children when away. On these days, hours would be extended to about 7:30pm.
