eaton house girls

Postby Mallinsonmum » Mon Nov 18, 2013 4:16 pm

Hello,
I would really appreciate any experience of Eaton House Girls School from current parents. We have just been offered a place for my daughter in kindergarten in September 2014. Having toured the school we are very impressed but have slight reservations about how intensive it might be in that first year. My daughter is bright but shy and I anticipate that she'll need quite a bit of support to settle (she will just be 4 when starting school).
I want her to thrive academically but want it to be in a warm and supportive (of individual personalities) environment.
Many thanks.

Hi there,
We have a daughter there. She is now higher up the school but started in kindergarten. We have always been very happy with it. The atmosphere is warm and not at all 'intensive' I would say. The teachers are very very smiley, warm and kind. Our daughter loves school and has happily skipped in since day one.

Do PM me if I can be of any more help.

My daughter started in September and is a late August birthday, so I had exactly the same concerns. However, her first few weeks have been wonderful, her teachers are very sweet and kind and are on hand with lots of positive encouragement.

The thing I really appreciate is that they reward effort, so my daughter who is the youngest in the class has had awards for sitting in her chair sensibly or for putting her hand up to ask a question, which are more challenging things to do for the little ones in the class.

It seems to be very warm and friendly, the standards are high, but in a really nice way. The small, nurturing environment really suits my little girl and she loves her teachers.

Good luck!
