My little boy went to Eveline in Trinity Crescent at ten months old and was there until over two and a half. He was there right from the beginning and was their first baby in the Baby Room. He went through all the classes and formed a strong bond with each of the 'teachers'.

He only stopped going a couple of months ago when I decided not to go back to work after baby 2.

They kindly invited us back for Mother's Day the other week and he had a great time, giving huge hugs and kisses to all the staff and playing with his friends.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Evelines.

Have you considered a childminder? My son's been going since he's been 18 mo and he couldn't have been happier. I feel it's much more personal and the children get much more attention that way.

My 18month old son goes to Magdalen and loves it. He's been there since 9months. He gets really excited when he sees his friends and he loves all the carers. It also has a fabulous garden. My advice though is to go and visit each of them and see what your gut feeling says. All parents (and children) are different and want different things for their children. I prefer my son being at nursery than being with either a childminder or a nanny as I think he gets more out of it but that is just a personal opinion.

Thanks everyone for all your advice. I have heard little about Magdalen but it looks good, so thanks for your reco. They can't give me a visit until June (!) so I will see what my gut tells me.

If you have any other questions about Magdalen I'm happy to answer them. Good luck with your decision, I know how hard it is!
