Advice please! on where to find lots of mums and dads!

Postby suzanner » Tue May 13, 2014 10:30 am

Hello,

I hope everyone is well. I work for the charity Bliss and in less than 3 weeks we are holding our London Buggy push at Battersea Park. I am looking for suggestions of the best places to hand out flyers for this event - somewhere there is a high number of buggies and mums/dads.

We have flyered Northcote road a couple of times but would love to hear other suggestions - can you help?

Thanks, Suzanne x

Hi Suzanne ... a few ideas for you:

Contact the local (Clapham/Battersea/Chelsea) NCT, HartBeeps and Monkey Music classes and ask if you can leave flyers for them to have available in their classes.

TriYoga Chelsea, worth asking if they would put your flyers on their counter, they gets LOTS of mums and dads and run baby yoga classes etc so relevant clients

All along Kings Road, particularly on a Saturday and particularly at the Farmers Market in Duke of York Square

6th floor cafe of Peter Jones, it's full of mums feeding babies every day of the week.

I hope this may help,
X

My suggestion would be at the start or finish of the "Big Scream" cinema session at Clapham Picture House every Thursday at 10.30am.

Why not try the local libraries before/after rhyme time.

The Common Ground cafe (now renamed Skylark I think) on wandsworth common and the Bandstand cafe on Clapham Common - especially on good weather days

The playgrounds on Wandsworth and Clapham common

Broomwood Methodist Church Hall and St Luke's Church Hall have loads of baby and childrens classes and playgroups so would be a good place to leave flyers. Other churches probably the same, eg St Marks has popular playgroups so could be good.

Battersea Arts Centre - Bees Knees playroom and cafe

Bertie and Boo in Balham (especially on a rainy day, it's rammed)

There is an NCT nearly new sale on at Chiswick Town Hall on Saturday 17 May from 10-midday which will be RAMMED with buggies!! I think that'd be a good place to hand out flyers! X
