Tutor for 8+ Entrance Exams Post Reply

Hi there -

I am looking for a tutor who can help prepare my son to write the 8+ entrance exams for Dulwich College and Kings College in Jan 2015. He currently attends a prep school where he can stay up to Y6, so they do not prepare their students to write assessment exams until Y5. He is fairly strong academically, but will need a lot of guidance to get him focused to go through the process! We are based in Tooting but am willing to drive out afield if necessary and we would like to have someone in place for September. Hi Tootingtwins, I know a couple of lovely tutors nearby. I'm not sure if they're 8+ specialists but they definitely have 11+ experience and are great with kids.

Emma lives near Dulwich College and is full of energy and enthusiasm. She mainly tutors primary and 11+, across a huge range of subjects, working in schools and with families. She also does a lot of Shakespeare and drama workshops in schools and can work wonders with a child's confidence. William has lots of experience and is a lower cost option as well (£32/hr), he's tutored for years, is a sweet guy and does a lot of tutoring in inner-city schools with Tutorfair's charity program: https://www.tutorfair.com/tutor/name/wi ... 48/profile. He's based in Brixton and happy to travel to you.

Sorry, I just realised you are looking for 8+! We have a Creative Writing Workshop for 8+ in the October half-term, too. Unfortunately, the Maths workshop is only for 11+.
