Pregnancy pilates/Yoga

Postby Magdalenmumtobe » Thu Aug 28, 2014 1:55 pm

Wondered if anyone has any great recommendations for pregnancy pilates or yoga in the Wandsworth/Battersea/Earlsfield area - I am just in to my last trimester and would really like to do some regular pilates (beginner level), would love recommendations of good places?
Thanks all

hi

I'm running two taster beginner pregnancy Pilates classes in association with the Wandsworth NCT. It's in Earlsfield on Monday 15th September at 2.30 and at 3.20pm.

If we get a number of mums to be interested in doing a regular class, we will set one up there on an ongoing basis.

Would you both be interested in coming? if so, I can send you full details.

Regards

Another one here who just started third trimester. Not a beginner in pilates/yoga, but seems most classes are either booked up or at times I can't manage, so would love to join any level of antenatal classes.

Try whyoga.com

On Mondays at 7pm Balham library or Wednesday 7pm Earlsfield library

I did it for the whole of my last pregnancy and it really helped me a lot with fitness and energy esp as I had a 2 year old I had to run around after!

Nadia at Bartersea Yoga is amazing. I did her classes with all of my kids and she is brilliant. She runs various classes in the area. X

I'd second the recommendation for Battersea yoga, they used to have drop-in classes for prenatal yoga which is really convenient.

I've also done postnatal pilates with Jane from baby-awake and she really knows her stuff and is caring. The classes were in balham/tooting so a bit further away for me so I didn't continue with them.

Not quite in the area you asked for but Triyoga in Chelsea offers a great class. It right on Kings Road as you cross the bridge from Battersea. It's an amazing studio and also offers a post natal class for you to bring your babies too. Reasonably priced too if you buy the class pass.
