new baby and dryer broke - Argh!

Postby pieinthesky14 » Thu Oct 09, 2014 12:21 pm

Hi

Help... I have a new baby and my dryer has clearly eaten a hairclip or coin as making a grinding noise. ? Not great timing - as clothes horse is covered already :)

Its only worth £199 - and the company i rang quoted £140 to come out.

Anyone else know of someone... I could call locally?

Thanks

Is it still working?
If it's just making noise then the bearings might have gone?
How old is it?

Its still going around, but def not worth risking as its LOUD!. past its 12 month warranty which is a shame..

Thanks for advice.. just put some washing out side and it almost blew away ha ha.

If it is the bearings (which would explain grinding/rattling) then the spin doc is worth a try but if you don't want to take the risk & have funds for another then order from boots online - they don't overprice and will literally deliver next day (saved me on both occasions of having to replace washing machine & tumble dryer)....the points on the boots card aren't to be sniffed at either!
