What's Collis primary in Teddington like?

Postby Ophelia » Fri Oct 17, 2014 2:40 pm

Hello,

I just wanted opinions on how good Collis primary school in Teddington is. I know it's got a great reputation, but it would be good to hear from mum's who have children at the school.

Thanks

Hi, I am a supply teacher and I work at Collis from time to time and I must say, it is one of my favourite schools to work in. The children are delightful, the staff are very hardworking and committed to the learning of the children and the facilities are great too.
Hope that helps!

I have alerted a friend of mine who has 2 boys at Collis, and hopefully she will respond - no point me saying anything as it is all a bit second hand (but good) information!

Hi there!

I am an ex-Collis girl (I left in 2006) and I know it has changed a bit since I left (for one thing there was 2 form entry and now its 4 forms I believe) but when I was there it was an absolutely lovely school - vibrant and full of life.

I have volunteered there several times since leaving so I know the essence is still there. Really dedicated teachers (I know several of them personally now) and a good widespread education (sport, arts, nature etc) as well as academic stuff.

I really cannot recommend this school enough - if I can afford to live in Teddington in the years to come I would want to get my kids in (if and when I have them)! Everyone I know who went there/have kids there love it. It really deserves its reputation.

Its also good because it is a link school with Teddington school (I think it still is - it was when I was there), which has really improved in the last few years so that basically means a guaranteed a place for your kids at a good local secondary school.

Hope this helps!
Abbie
