Square bay window curtain advice

Postby Earlsfieldite » Fri Feb 20, 2015 11:24 pm

We have lovely new wooden sash windows but they are accompanied by no clue how to dress them. The bay is pretty small and square. I've read various horror stories about bay window pole kits not really working for 90 degree bends and bendy tracks being tricky to fit.

Ideally we would DIY with an off the shelf product but has anyone got any recommendations of what worked in their box bay? Local curtain fitters are coming in at £1,700 which seems an awful lot.

Also any ideas where to buy nice readymade curtains except for the obvious John Lewis etc? Everything seems a bit naff or old fashioned.

We have a square bay with 4 windows, we have just used 247 blinds and had 4 blinds made. We are really pleased with them, they were made and delivered within a week and cost approx. £80 each. They were really easy to fit. Highly recommend them.
