The concept of Role Models is to find talented enthusiastic and dynamic people who are skilled in either sport, music, art, drama or schoolwork support – so we can match them to the interests of your children. The majority are teachers, musicians, artists or actors. I’ve added Sinead’s profile below as an example of a teacher Role Model who lives in Streatham and is often available to help families during the holidays when she's not at school.

Sinead is a Special Educational Needs 1:1 who has over 7 years’ experience working with children aged 3-17. Within these 7 years, Sinead has worked as a nanny, a tutor, a volunteer teacher in a South African NGO and a holiday programme facilitator. She has achieved her grade 6 in Trinity Drama and music, and often brings the skills she learnt into her classroom and aftercare activities. She also matriculated with a first in Visual Art, and is never afraid to get involved in a creative activity of any kind.
Sinead is a talented sportswoman, who loves to ride horses and play ball sports such as volleyball, netball and water polo. She has done so at a very competitive level throughout her schooling and university years, representing her University’s first team and her province on numerous occasions. She has worked as a sports coach and referee for water polo and netball, and is a certified ‘Learn to Swim’ instructor; having taught children of all ages how to swim. She is also experienced horse riding instructor, and within the school she currently teaches, takes children horse riding at a local stable as part of the therapies and interventions she provides as an SEN practitioner. On top of all this Sinead can drive, cook, help with homework and even has a basic first aid qualification.
Sinead’s Role Models are her parents, whose selflessness and work ethic have ensured that she has had access to every opportunity imaginable. Sinead hopes one day to emulate them and their relationship, as they truly are the most generous people she has ever encountered.
