Nest or Hive thermostat system? Post Reply

Dear All,

Needing help in choosing a smart thermostat remote controlled heating system.

We have just finished a complete house renovation and ended up with 2 Heatmiser remote controls for underfloor heating - 1 for the kitchen, 1 for the double reception and an additional Honeywell radiator control.

Suffice to say we have not done enough research prior to having everything installed and are finding 3 remotes too fiddly and tiresome.

On top of it, the boiler and a megaflow are in the loft on the 2nd floor, so I've managed to forget to turn water and heating off at the master control panel twice before going on holidays. Of course I remembered that in a taxi on the way to the airport, hence the smart app controlled systems like Nest or Hive came to mind.

Does anyone have either installed, what are the costs and any pros or cons would be greatly appreciated, as we'd like to plan ahead and have a new solution before next winter.
