I was wondering if anyone had any experience / advice on working with Wandsworth Council's Planning team?
Over a year ago we requested permission to do an attic extension. It was refused and we went to countrywide appeal, they also declined it on the basis it was too big for the house (which is in a conservation area).
We have scaled it back dramatically and re-submitted but they are now saying they are likely to decline it again, only this time because it doesn't preserve enough of the slope on the rear roof of the house!
There hasn't been a single objection from neighbours and the changes can't be seen from the street so we feel they are being pretty unreasonable as effectively they are preventing us from making our house fit for purpose for some 'roof slope'.
I am keen to broker a reasonable discussion between the planning guys, the conservation specialists (who are the source of the objections) and ourselves to find a conclusion that works for everyone but I don't seem to be having much luck - I was hoping you marvellous ladies might have some ideas?!
